This was an exciting refurbishment project we undertook last month, the existing pool was marbalite with a paint finish, two skimmers which leaked and a sump.
We emptied the pool and got everything back to a clean finish. We sandblasted all the paint off and installed 2 new stainless steel skimmers into the pool shell.
Our customer didn’t like the depth of the pool so we bought rhe deep end up 600mm, splitting the sump line so we have 2 sumps which prevent entrapment in accordance with regulations.
Once we had the steps built and the remedial work done we tanked the pool with a sikalastic tanking system before tiling to ensure the integrity of the water tight shell.
After liasing with our client we chose a main tile and a band tile. Once the pool was tiled and grouted we gave a light acid wash to ensure tiles are looking their best before filling, one happy customer!
